can someone maybe point in the direction of how to extract an app's Product key? If this thread is illegal you can block it:)

It depends on the application, each one stores its key differently: location, encryption, ...

You can search on the forum you will find some results as Microsoft Windows/Office.

It really depends on the application. Some display the current key in the same window where you can enter a new one when the license has expired.

Can you tell us the name of the application?

IIRC there are some scripts on the forum to extract the MS Office keys from the registry. The forum search function will show you.
