I read some stuff about terminating a running Script, i tried

HotKeySet("{ESC}", "Terminate")
Func Terminate()
    Exit 0
EndFunc

and it stopped my executions immediately so if you just wanna have a button to "Escape", here it is

Welcome to AutoIt and the forum!

That's exactly the way AutoIt is meant to work and the code you posted is the code example for HotKeySet taken from the help file.
