Hi I am trying to do a test with Internet explorer using the following but I am stuck on the click and feeling that the drag and drop is going to be impossible.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could point me to some examples.

Thanks.

1. Triggering a click on the 'Try it yourself" href of this.

http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_draganddrop.asp

It appears that it's not in a form so the examples from the forums I'm using don't work.

2. Drag and drop from this page http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_draganddrop

Are there any examples of drag and drop inside Internet explorer?

Kind regards.

Welcome to AutoIt and the forum!

What do you try to achieve? Is it just for testing or to solve a real problem?

Drag and Drop is a quite complex subject and I can't remember ever having seen it being discussed on this forum.

HI water,

Thanks for your interest.

Yes I understand it's potentially a large and complex journey ahead.  I was hoping to start with some baby steps and work up to it.

We run a reporting solution and I'd like to emulate a users behaviour and measure the performance (or lack of) from the perspective of the users experience.

Something like this

We use functions TimerInit/TimderDiff to measure elapsed time in a script.

How to simulate drag and drop is far over my head.

Hopefully some other users can help you with this.
