BrewManNH
Did you put an #include statement in the wrong place in your code? Because in my copy of that file there's an EndFunc in that function. EDIT: Just thought I should mention this, you should always post YOUR code when you think there's a bug in something that works for everyone else. Guest
This message pops up when you try to #include an UDF inside a function of your script. Put all #include statements at the top of your script. Why? im my case #include <GuiListView.au3> takes more 11mb for nothing. i tested it. Without this my script take just 5mb and not 17mb. I thought of the idea to load GuiListView.au3 only when it necessary.. I was very surprised to get this error. What can be done to save this memory? BrewManNH
BTW, there is no way to conditionally include another file using #include. It is a preprocessor command, so it's executed no matter where it is in the script. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. AutID
In the Memory.au3 there are not a lot of funtions so even if you inculde it all or part of it is more or less the same thing. The not proper use of it though can take a lot of memory and harm your system. If you need only two or three functions from an udf then you can just copy them in your script but be careful because most of the functions call each other https://iblockify.wordpress.com/

Without this my script take just 5mb and not 17mb. This is not correct! #include <GuiListView.au3> adds about 110Kb when not using UPX. So, what are you doing to get it to add 11Mb? If there are bugs found in a standard UDF that get corrected later, this would leave the bug in your code. The proper way to do it is to use the UDF and strip out the functions you don't use by using what Melba stated to do in post #5. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. But when i personally need only on function of an entire udf i prefere creating it in my project and producing a small debugger for it, than incuding the entire udf and striping out the functions i don't use. Creating a debugger for a only function is not so hard i find. https://iblockify.wordpress.com/
Guest
gil900, Use Obfuscator with the /StripOnly directive - that removes all unused functions and variables from the includes and just leaves the ones you need. M23 Thank you! Now it takes 9 MB instead of 24 MB! (I added more code to my script. that's why i reached to 24 MB) but /StripOnlyIncludes did the real magic
Moderators Melba23 Posted September 26, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 26, 2013 gil900,/StripOnlyIncludes leaves your main script as it is - /StripOnly removes all unnecessary lines from the main script as well and so is actually more magical.
