SummerGirl Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Dear all, I need to check multiple bitmaps outputted by the system, whether they are same as the original. Now I have all the bitmaps saved in a local folder(Original & system generated image.. I want them(Original & system saved png files) to be pasted to Excel side by side so that I can manually check whether they are same. Since I have about 100 bitmaps want them to be automated... Kindly let me know whether the same could be done in Auto IT. If any sample scripts could be provided, would be thankful. Thanks in advance.
water Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 You could use my Rewrite of the Excel UDF. It has a function to add a picture to a worksheet (_Excel_PictureAdd). Check the example script _Excel_PictureAdd.au3 to see how it works. Solution water Posted October 3, 2013 Solution Posted October 3, 2013 The download (link can be found in my siganture) is a simple ZIP file. You extract everything into a single directory and run the example script _Excel_PictureAdd.au3. If it doesn't work can you please post any error message and the size of the file? BTW: This scripts need to be run with on eof the beta versions of AutoIt > 3.3.9.2 My UDFs and Tutorials: Spoiler UDFs: Active Directory (NEW 2024-07-28 - Version 1.6.3.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki ExcelChart (2017-07-21 - Version 0.4.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts OutlookEX (2021-11-16 - Version 1.7.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki OutlookEX_GUI (2021-04-13 - Version 1.4.0.0) - Download Outlook Tools (2019-07-22 - Version 0.6.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki PowerPoint (2021-08-31 - Version 1.5.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki Task Scheduler (2022-07-28 - Version 1.6.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki Standard UDFs: Excel - Example Scripts - Wiki Word - Wiki Tutorials: ADO - Wiki WebDriver - Wiki

water Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Looks like the extracted file is still a ZIP archive (I take it from the size). Can you please rename this file to "Excel Rewrite Beta 2.zip" and try to extract it again? SummerGirl Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Thanks a lot and it works with my file. Well have a few clarifications: 1.Can you explain about it or let me where I can find details about it. #AutoIt3Wrapper_AU3Check_Stop_OnWarning=Y #AutoIt3Wrapper_AU3Check_Parameters=-d -w 1 -w 2 -w 3 -w 4 -w 5 -w 6 2. If I need to add some text(comment) to the Excel in between copying the bitmaps is there any way? Example: Test 1 Result Copy bitmap Test 2 Result Copy bitmap..
water Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Sure. I will do my very best This are directives for the AutoIt Wrapper. Details can be found in the help fille. In Scite click: Help -> SciTE Help. On the Content tab click: Extra utilities -> AutoItWrapper If you want to write some text to a cell use function _Excel_RangeWrite. _Excel_RangeWrite.au3 gives you a few examples. Calculating the cell where to write the text might be a bit complex.
