blckpythn
PixelSearch should work fine with most applications, but not for programs that use DirectX or OpenGL, for which you won't get any help. Because of what? I'm not allowed to create apps based on that? e.a. real fps calculator? or to detect when i get frozen so i can debug that? hmm proper answer bro. I'm not saying that you can't create apps based on that, just that people will be very skeptical of your intentions. Not only that but any code or suggestions provided could likely be used by those with poor intentions. That's half the reason that discussing games is against the rules. water
What blckpyth wants to say: PixelSearch is often used to automate games. And game automation isn't permitted here. Well I don't need it for automating anything.. so am I allowed to get some help about the subject? I do however understand the skeptical part And for whoever does know but doesn't want to post it, you can always send me an pm if you prefer that. Moderators Melba23 Posted October 4, 2013 Moderators Share Posted October 4, 2013 Hawkysoft,How about a screenshot of the app and an explanation of which pixels you are trying to locate? Queener
best solution for this kind of activity is to screenshot, paste on paint, get the color, go from there. I haven't tested myself, but may work. Just an idea. Edited October 7, 2013 by asianqueen Msgbox(0, "Hate", "Just hate it when I post a question and find my own answer after a couple tries. Hawkysoft
Hawkysoft, How about a screenshot of the app and an explanation of which pixels you are trying to locate? It would prevent a lot of toing and froing. M23 Hey mate, well obviously i can make a screenshot of any fullscreen application/game what ever... What i strictly want is to calculate the exact fps in them and to see when it does hang and if that would be considered on an occasion and what causes it. So sure if you want a screenshot I can send you a million, however it seems it doesn't change some people their minds, so just forget about it close this topic. will ask help from someone in private. ....and the poster doesn't reply...... because the poster has been busy in his life. best solution for this kind of activity is to screenshot, paste on paint, get the color, go from there. I haven't tested myself, but may work. Just an idea. will try this, however this method might be a huge resource hog Edited October 8, 2013 by Hawkysoft
Bert
Listen mate - Usually when the poster is pressed to define what the app is when it comes to pixel searching - 99% of the time it is for a game. Yes, my response was a bit rude. Sorry about that. JTLYK: When you say "fps" - again, AFAIK - that is usually meant for a game. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but where else is fps used? At this point the thread looks like this to me (IMHO): Seeing how this request is for a game, and you know the rules seeing how you asked for the thread to be closed, it appears you KNEW the rules beforehand and decided to try to go around them to get what you wanted. Am I missing something here? If I'm wrong, please set me straight. Also your pov about talking around a subject isn't the case, I have been clear from the 1st moment.

Hawkysoft
But it would be against the rules of this forum ... So, when I mention it's for VLC than it's ok... man... forget it I give up here... I read the rules pretty well, it's not for automating anything at all if your not willing to help it's ok. heading back to ahk, thought autoit was fun for a change but this community...... pff
Bert
It is good for automating a LOT of things. Just not games. Seems you think it is all it is good for. Good luck using AHK.
