PresFox
Hello, The following code errors, something about a wrong or missing expression #include <File.au3> _FileReadToArray("useragent.txt", ByRef $aArray) local $num = random(1,19) HttpSetUserAgent($aArray[$num]) Can someone tell me whats wrong? Jfish
Delete the ByRef for starters. Then without knowing what that file looks like I would say that it needs to have at least 19 values in it. Also, the random function defaults to a float data type. Add a third parameter of 1 to return an integer. You don't want to get back 5.33 or something like that. PresFox
Edited it now to: #include <File.au3> _FileReadToArray("useragent.txt", $aArray) local $num = random(1,19,1) HttpSetUserAgent($aArray[$num]) the useragent.txt file has 20 values, but it still errors
Jfish
You also need to set the path name to the file ... _FileReadToArray(@scriptdir&"\useragent.txt", $aArray) I don't know where the file is ... but if it is the same DIR as the script that is how you would find it. Also, if you have 20 values rand(1,19) will never hit #20 ... BrewManNH
Why are you wanting to set the user agent string to a random value? What are you attempting to do with this? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
