autoit recorder tool is not regestring the keyboard and mouse clicks

the Autoit tool suddenly stopped registering the keyboard and mouse strokes from the recorder tool and the generated code doesnot run and get paused.

I have tried reinstalling the Autoit Application, but no change.

I am using windows xp

help me resolve this issue.

Which application do you try to automate. The script generated by the recorder is not very reliable because it depends on screen resolution and window positions.

Often there are more reliable ways to do what you want.
