Hyflex Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Hi,On one PC I can use _ExcelBookOpen("Workbook location", 1) however it seems as though the latest installation on my laptop the function doesn't exist...I have to use _Excel_BookOpen but I can't figure out how to use it correctly.Could someone help explain whats going on and how I can get round this so it works correct...

The new UDF is a total rewrite so things have changed, sometimes dramatically, and the help file is your friend. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. water Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Only 2 major things have changed: You need to use _Excel_Open as very first function call before starting to work with the new UDF All function names have changed from _Excel* to _Excel_* Everything else can be found in the script breaking changes section for Excel of the help file or the wiki.
