@Radiance 0x1B17F2D9AB91B2D6E78C30A0E71F0EB5 is currently in integer form... if it was a string it would be easy :P

_Crypt_Hash* functions return hashes in 0x (hexadecimal?) form, I am trying to compare 2 hashes, one in string form and another in integer (0x) form :)

@czardas I was not sure about that... I got that error too but _Crypt_Hash* is returning it in integer form Just checked it using VarGetType, it says that it is Binary

Sorry everyone, please give me a minute to recollect all my thoughts >_<

Yep, I got a handle in the situation now :D:

Here is what I came up with:

#include <Crypt.au3>

Local $dHash = _Crypt_HashFile(@ScriptDir & '\test', $CALG_MD5)

ConsoleWrite($dHash & @CRLF) ; Binary Form
ConsoleWrite(StringTrimLeft(BinaryToString($dHash), 2)) ; This is the MD5 hash in string form

TD :)

Hi, i want to read a particular string from a text file using autoit. i wish to read it without explicitly opening the text file. the copied string should be then transferred to an excelbook (again, no need to explicitly open the excel book)...

with reference to my screenshot attached, my input to the  'script'' is going to be 0017-0008, and the script should copy the highlighted two lines from the input file to excel
      thanks

      Hi all,
I got this code and would like to be able to change Baud Rate and instead of sending character by character i would like to be able (if possible) to send whole string. But i don't know how to change it.
I am taking input from file and processing whole line (this is done in FilesHandling.au3).
To execute this i am just calling SendData("FileName", int) in "main" script.
      Any help very appreciated.

I need a random string generator which creates 15 letters/numbers.
      How can I make that?

      Hi guys,
I am pretty bad with regex, and am having some trouble trying to come up with an expression for a certain type of string. Basically I want to be able to tell if a string is of the format:
      AA#####A
Where the A's are any letter from A-Z and the #'s are any digit from 0-9.
I've been playing around with a regex tester online for a while but I can't really seem to grasp the concept very well. Could anyone give me any tips?
This isn't exactly an AutoIt specific question which is why I didn't post it in General Help & Support.
