batch file won't run

Recommended Posts

According to the reg add help, you need to escape the % signs in your ClientIP env variable.  I doubt that's what's causing the error, but I'm pretty sure without escaping the % characters (^ caret), you're just (attempting to) insert(ing) a literal string into the reg value.

(from Reg Add /?)
REG ADD HKLM\Software\MyCo /v Path /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d ^%systemroot^%
Adds a value (name: Path, type: REG_EXPAND_SZ, data: %systemroot%)
Notice:  Use the caret symbol ( ^ ) inside the expand string

Now the & in the reg path may be the culprit.  Try escaping that as well. (just a wager)

edit: found this article, probablyimportant to note ;)

Special Cases

A small number of commands follow slightly different rules, FINDSTR, REG and RUNAS all use \ as an escape character instead of ^

Why not get rid of the batch file completely and just use the AutoIt RegRead and RegWrite functions?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.
