I am new to AutoIt and programming in general, my company asked me to learn AutoIt as we use it for a number of tasks. I'm wanting to know if there is a way to look at the code for the built in functions. For example I was looking at DirGetSize, the help file shows how to use it, but I was wanting to look at the underlying code to see the logic of how it works. Is there a way to see that? I apologize if I missed it in the Wiki.

AutoIt is closed-source code, both interpreter and core functions.

This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.
Another excellent RegExp tutorial. Don't forget downloading your copy of up-to-date pcretest.exe and pcregrep.exe here
RegExp tutorial: enough to get started
PCRE v8.33 regexp documentation latest available release and currently implemented in AutoIt beta.

SQLitespeed is another feature-rich premier SQLite manager (includes import/export). Well worth a try.
SQLite Expert (freeware Personal Edition or payware Pro version) is a very useful SQLite database manager.
An excellent eBook covering almost every aspect of SQLite3: a must-read for anyone doing serious work.
SQL tutorial (covers "generic" SQL, but most of it applies to SQLite as well)
A work-in-progress SQLite3 tutorial. Don't miss other LxyzTHW pages!
SQLite official website with full documentation (may be newer than the SQLite library that comes standard with AutoIt)

CSpenser,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums.

As jchd has pointed out, the core functions of AutoIt (those without a leading underscore) are closed source, for various historical reasons. But there are plenty of standard include libraries and UDFs for you to examine and plunder at will.

Looking forward to seeing you around in the future - and nice to see an employer who appreciates good software!

use the autoit help file to see how to use it, run the samples

#include <AutoItConstants.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

Example()

Func Example()
    Local $iSize = DirGetSize(@HomeDrive)
    MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "Size(MegaBytes): " & Round($iSize / 1024 / 1024))

    $iSize = DirGetSize(@WindowsDir, $DIR_NORECURSE)
    MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "Size(MegaBytes): " & Round($iSize / 1024 / 1024))

    Local $hTimer = TimerInit()

    Local $aSize = DirGetSize("\\10.0.0.1\h$", $DIR_EXTENDED) ; extended mode
    If Not @error Then
        Local $iDiff = Round(TimerDiff($hTimer) / 1000) ; time in seconds
        MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "Size(Bytes): " & $aSize[0] & @CRLF _
                 & "Files: " & $aSize[1] & @CRLF & "Dirs: " & $aSize[2] & @CRLF _
                 & "TimeDiff(Sec): " & $iDiff)
    EndIf
EndFunc   ;==>Example

Thanks for the reply. I was able to use the help file to figure out how to use some of the functions I've looked at, including this one. I was hoping to be able to see the logic of how some of the functions work, so that I can understand how they accomplish what they do at a lower level. For example if I wanted to take a list of files and put them into an array, how would I accomplish that with basic coding instead of using FileListToArray. I'm trying to learn the logic of parsing through data and lists to do sorting and things of that nature without just using a prebuilt function. I'm thinking I'm going to have to look into some conceptual programming algorithm books.

Why would you that ?  Your boss ask you to learn AutoIt, not to learn HOW AutoIt was made of.  If I have one suggestion to give you, forget about how it is done under the hood , and learn how to actually USE this great software AutoIt.  Unless your boss is you...
