how does .bmp transparency work with GUICtrlCreatePic?

Recommended Posts

.bmp seems to provide transparency using GUICtrlCreatePic, but i have no idea how it's determining the transparent color.

it's not going off the first pixel, or the lightest color overall, or colors on the edges... it seems random, but if all the other colors are much darker it seems to have no trouble making the light background transparent, so i don't know. is there a way to specify this transparent color, or perhaps i'm just not understanding it, if so i would like to know how it works. thanks.

This thread may provide some insight.

wow, that's really interesting it's the grey default background color for gui controls. seems kind of obvious now. that will be easy to work with, thanks a lot
