Isor Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Hey, I would like to change and read excel cells while the excel is open, because in the excel calculations are performed and the user can make entries. Is this possible without using arrow keys to go through the cells that are to be controlled each individually. If this is not possible, can I somehow copy the values of the cells into variables? Send("^c") $CellCode1 = ClipGet() Is not working. Thanks for your help
Solution water Posted November 18, 2021 Solution Posted November 18, 2021 Welcome to AutoIt and the forum! Yes, you can read/edit cells in an already opened workbook. AutoIt comes with a UDF to manipulate Excel. Use function _Excel_BookAttach to connect to the open workbook. Be aware that your script will freeze when you try to process a cell that is in edit mode by the user.
