ycomp Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 I want to press a key like 'b' or spacebar on a window (another program, not mine) and be informed when this occurs so I can respond to it. I do not want to consume the keypress, just know that it happened. I'm not really interested in modifiers just letters and the spacebar.
Nine Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 You would need to use a global callback to catch all key press. See _WinAPI_SetWindowsHookEx example in help file to see how it can be implemented. “They did not know it was impossible, so they did it” ― Mark Twain Spoiler Block all input without UAC Save/Retrieve Images to/from Text Monitor Management (VCP commands) Tool to search in text (au3) files Date Range Picker Virtual Desktop Manager Sudoku Game 2020 Overlapped Named Pipe IPC HotString 2.0 - Hot keys with string x64 Bitwise Operations Multi-keyboards HotKeySet Recursive Array Display Fast and simple WCD IPC Multiple Folders Selector Printer Manager GIF Animation (cached) Screen Scraping Multi-Threading Made Easy
