Hi AutoIt-Gurus,

I have a TreeView that is populated from an array (the item text is taken from column 1) using the UDF functions.

When I doubleclick an item I would like to display further information which is taken from column 2.

Unfortunately the text in column 1 is ambiguous so I can't use _GUICtrlTreeView_FindItem.

I tried _GUICtrlTreeView_SetItemParam to set the array index but this led to very undesirable results.

Do you have any tips for me how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Thomas

Add a column to the array (or use a separate array) where you keep the ControlID or handle of the item, then you can search for that instead of the text. For example:

Global $avTreeViewData[4][10]
; [$n][0] = (something)
; [$n][1] = text
; [$n][2] = further info
; [$n][3] = ControlID of item

For $n = 0 To UBound($avTreeViewData) - 1
    $avTreeViewData[$n][3] = GUICtrlCreateTreeViewItem($avTreeViewData[$n][1], $ctrlTreeViewParent)
Next
