Excel and opening an XST

Hi,

I'm pretty new to autoIt, so I would like to know if there is a way to open and edit an excel template (XST)?

When I try to open my XST, it juste create a new instance of the template.

In vba, I have to set the parameter editable to true so I can open it.

With AutoIt I try this:

$excel = ObjCreate("Excel.Application")

$excel.visible = true

$excel.Workbooks.Open("C:\test.xst")

I don't know how to add my optionnal parameters without adding 8 others optionnal parameter.

I'm fairly new to, but this afternoon I used this code to open a normal excel XLS file:

#include <excel.au3>

$oExcel = _ExcelBookOpen("C:\temp\TestSheet.xls",1,False)

This opens it Visible & Editable!

I see but the problem it's the template that I want to edit, I'm afraid that it will just create an instance of the template with this line of code.

I haven't tried it myself but I think the Excel UDF can cope with templates. _ExcelBookSaveAs allows you to save the sheet as template.

I would try _ExcelBookOpen, do my changes and use _ExcelBookSave to save the template.
