_AD_GetObjectProperties returns the property in a translated (= readable) form.

_AD_GetObjectAttribute returns the property/attribute AS IS.

Thanks. Now I'm trying to use 

$groupMembers = _AD_GetGroupMembers($groupSelected)

And turn the resulting array into something readable, but when I then do:

For $i in $groupMembers
    $escapedString = StringReplace($i,",","\,")
    MsgBox(0,"String",$escapedString &" " & _AD_FQDNToSamAccountName($escapedString))
next

the sAMAccount name lookup remains blank. Am I overthinking this? I just don't want to display FQDN to users as they are far more used to seeing the sAMAccountname.

Check @error after calling _AD_FQDNToSamAccountName. Maybe there is something wrong.

You can't do the loop this way. The returned array is one-based so element 0 cointains the element count.

Do a

For $i = 1 to $groupMembers[0]
    ; Your processing
Next

since Autoit v.3.3.12.0 the Function  "_AD_RecursiveGetMemberOf" return a error:

Subscript used on non-accessible variable.:

$aGroups[0] = UBound($aGroups) - 1

 

when the $bListInherited is set to False.

Which version of the AD UDF do you use?

This simply script for example doesn't work:

The problem is caused by one of the script breaking changes of the Array UDF.

Please change line

$aGroups = _ArrayUnique($aGroups, 1, 1)

in function _AD_RecursiveGetMemberOf to

$aGroups = _ArrayUnique($aGroups, 0, 1)

are not included in your ZIP files.

They are no longer needed. The latest version of SciTE allows to import those settings from the UDF.

I haven't been keeping up with my scripting and came back on a new computer and needed your AD.au3 and was looking for these files since the readme had instructions and called for them.

I use _AD_AddIsertoGrup but there adds just one user, and how to add several at once?

The function adds only a single user to a group.

_FileReadtoArray then loop through the array and call _AD_AddUserToGroup for each entry.
