Save Memo Contents

3 posts in this topic

Hey all

I have a program that will check a few things on a PC and write if the PC has passed these checks into a memo

EXAMPLE CHECK

;Run CDBurnerXP and close
    If FileExists("C:\Program Files\CDBurnerXP\cdbxpp.exe") Then
        Run("C:\Program Files\CDBurnerXP\cdbxpp.exe", "c:", @SW_MAXIMIZE)
        WinWaitActive("CDBurnerXP")
        MemoWrite("CDBurnerXP Run OK")
        Sleep("10000")
        WinClose("CDBurnerXP")
    Else
        MemoWrite("FAIL CDBurnerXP Not Installed FAIL")
MsgBox(0, "CDBurnerXP NOT INSTALLED", "Warning CDBurnerXP Is Not Installed Please Install And Run Checker Again")
        Exit
    EndIf

What i would like to do is have the program save the contents of the memo once it has finished and save it on a server

any way of doing this?????

THANK YOU

Look up FileOpen() and FileWriteLine() in the help file

Dating a girl is just like writing software. Everything's going to work just fine in the testing lab (dating), but as soon as you have contract with a customer (marriage), then your program (life) is going to be facing new situations you never expected. You'll be forced to patch the code (admit you're wrong) and then the code (wife) will just end up all bloated and unmaintainable in the end.

Or create an INI-File using InIWrite.

This has the advantage that you can easily process this file on the server with another AutoIt Script.
