Meerecat
Hello I have declared a folder using the variable $dir like below: Global $dir = @MyDocumentsDir & "\My Secure Folder" I would like to be able to set the attributes of this folder. Currently I set the attributes of c:\confidential using the code below: RunWait(@ComSpec & " /c attrib +s +h +r C:\confidential",@UserProfileDir,@SW_HIDE) RunWait(@ComSpec & " /c cacls c:\confidential /e /c /d " & @UserName,@UserProfileDir,@SW_HIDE) I would like to substitute c:\confidential with my variable $dir but keep getting the syntax wrong. Greatful for any help. M Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.-The biggest idiot can ask questions the smartest man cannot answer. BrewManNH
You could use the FileSetAttrib command in Autoit to do that without having to resort to calling ComSpec. BrewManNH
You can't set the Directory attribute to a non-directory item, such as a file, but you can use it ON directories.
