If you want help with an idea then use some chat forum.

Here you ask help regarding the actual code that you have problems with. Further more, the code should be reduced to an absolute minimum, still reproducing the problem..

Ramzes,

I would not start quoting trancexx if I were you - you never know where it might end up. :graduated:

Besides I see nothing wrong with the OP's question - asking how to approach an AutoIt script is a perfectly legitimate query for this forum. ;)

ritblitz,

AutoIt can certainly draw the simple shapes you are looking for - however I fear that the interface to permit these shapes to be drag, drop and resizeable might be a bit complicated for a first project. But by all means have a go at it - "who dares wins" as the motto goes. ;)

You might find this a help in deciding how to start:

#include <GuiConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

Global Const $SC_MOVE = 0xF010

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 300, 200)

$cLabel = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Move me", 100, 50, 60, 20)
GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0x00FF00)

GUISetState()

While 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $msg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $GUI_EVENT_PRIMARYDOWN
            _ControlMove($cLabel)
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Func _ControlMove($cID)
    Local $aCurPos = GUIGetCursorInfo()
    If @error Then Return False
    If $aCurPos[4] = $cID Then
        GUICtrlSendMsg($cID, $WM_SYSCOMMAND, BitOR($SC_MOVE, $HTCAPTION), 0)
    EndIf
EndFunc   ;==>_ControlMove

You know where we are if you run into difficulties. :)

Do you have a program installed that can display flow charts?

IIRC there was a user with a similar problem who he wanted to create a mind map. He had MS Visio installed and was able to create an XML file with an Autoit scrip which then could be opened and displayed by Visio.
