dixonpete Posted October 10, 2011 Share Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) I'm getting some screen noise when I mouse over controls in my GUI. What's this all about and is there a cure? Edited October 10, 2011 by dixonpete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dixonpete Posted October 10, 2011 Author Share Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) Missing screen shot added. Controls appear and disappear as they get moused over. This is a Windows 7 install. Edited October 10, 2011 by dixonpete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
UEZ Posted October 10, 2011 Share Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) Now if you can post your code then we can try to reproduce it. Seems to be that some labels are over the buttons... guinness Posted October 10, 2011 Share Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) At a guess I would say it's a label covering the top of buttons. But as UEZ mentioned code would be better, a picture tells a 1000 words but code tells it all Edited October 10, 2011 by guinness UDF List: _AdapterConnections() • _AlwaysRun() • _AppMon() • _AppMonEx() • _ArrayFilter/_ArrayReduce • _BinaryBin() • _CheckMsgBox() • _CmdLineRaw() • _ContextMenu() • _ConvertLHWebColor()/_ConvertSHWebColor() • _DesktopDimensions() • _DisplayPassword() • _DotNet_Load()/_DotNet_Unload() • _Fibonacci() • _FileCompare() • _FileCompareContents() • _FileNameByHandle() • _FilePrefix/SRE() • _FindInFile() • _GetBackgroundColor()/_SetBackgroundColor() • _GetConrolID() • _GetCtrlClass() • _GetDirectoryFormat() • _GetDriveMediaType() • _GetFilename()/_GetFilenameExt() • _GetHardwareID() • _GetIP() • _GetIP_Country() • _GetOSLanguage() • _GetSavedSource() • _GetStringSize() • _GetSystemPaths() • _GetURLImage() • _GIFImage() • _GoogleWeather() • _GUICtrlCreateGroup() • _GUICtrlListBox_CreateArray() • _GUICtrlListView_CreateArray() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveCSV() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveHTML() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveTxt() • _GUICtrlListView_SaveXML() • _GUICtrlMenu_Recent() • _GUICtrlMenu_SetItemImage() • _GUICtrlTreeView_CreateArray() • _GUIDisable() • _GUIImageList_SetIconFromHandle() • _GUIRegisterMsg() • _GUISetIcon() • _Icon_Clear()/_Icon_Set() • _IdleTime() • _InetGet() • _InetGetGUI() • _InetGetProgress() • _IPDetails() • _IsFileOlder() • _IsGUID() • _IsHex() • _IsPalindrome() • _IsRegKey() • _IsStringRegExp() • _IsSystemDrive() • _IsUPX() • _IsValidType() • _IsWebColor() • _Language() • _Log() • _MicrosoftInternetConnectivity() • _MSDNDataType() • _PathFull/GetRelative/Split() • _PathSplitEx() • _PrintFromArray() • _ProgressSetMarquee() • _ReDim() • _RockPaperScissors()/_RockPaperScissorsLizardSpock() • _ScrollingCredits • _SelfDelete() • _SelfRename() • _SelfUpdate() • _SendTo() • _ShellAll() • _ShellFile() • _ShellFolder() • _SingletonHWID() • _SingletonPID() • _Startup() • _StringCompact() • _StringIsValid() • _StringRegExpMetaCharacters() • _StringReplaceWholeWord() • _StringStripChars() • _Temperature() • _TrialPeriod() • _UKToUSDate()/_USToUKDate() • _WinAPI_Create_CTL_CODE() • _WinAPI_CreateGUID() • _WMIDateStringToDate()/_DateToWMIDateString() • Au3 script parsing • AutoIt Search • AutoIt3 Portable • AutoIt3WrapperToPragma • AutoItWinGetTitle()/AutoItWinSetTitle() • Coding • DirToHTML5 • FileInstallr • FileReadLastChars() • GeoIP database • GUI - Only Close Button • GUI Examples • GUICtrlDeleteImage() • GUICtrlGetBkColor() • GUICtrlGetStyle() • GUIEvents • GUIGetBkColor() • Int_Parse() & Int_TryParse() • IsISBN() • LockFile() • Mapping CtrlIDs • OOP in AutoIt • ParseHeadersToSciTE() • PasswordValid • PasteBin • Posts Per Day • PreExpand • Protect Globals • Queue() • Resource Update • ResourcesEx • SciTE Jump • Settings INI • SHELLHOOK • Shunting-Yard • Signature Creator • Stack() • Stopwatch() • StringAddLF()/StringStripLF() • StringEOLToCRLF() • VSCROLL • WM_COPYDATA • More Examples... dixonpete Posted October 10, 2011 Author Share Posted October 10, 2011 I found it. The checkbox definition was using a width, a pattern the other controls had and I had simply copied over. It was invisible but when moused over interfered with the other controls. Problem solved. Sorry for the false alarm. Thought it might be an AutoIT bug of some kind. Valik Posted October 11, 2011 Share Posted October 11, 2011 dixonpete, after over a dozen posts I would have thought you could spot the difference between the minimalistic Report form and the feature-rich post editor. I suggest you pay more attention in the future. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BrewManNH Posted October 18, 2011 Share Posted October 18, 2011 He's trying to tell you that you clicked the Report link, filled it out as if it were a reply and sent it. He's also saying that the report form and the reply form look nothing alike and that anyone that has been here for a while and has posted several messages should have been aware that they weren't in the reply form and stopped themself from looking silly. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. dixonpete Posted October 20, 2011 Author Share Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) A much more useful reply, tx. As an aside and as a mild defense I've used discussion boards for 20 years+ and have never seen one before that felt the need to have two methods of posting. I still don't see much point to that and never would have thought to look for it. Anyway, I got my answer. Nuff said.
