Hello

I am doing a dynamic window with a variable number of controls and for semplicity I would like to change the size of the window to the actual occupation of controls, e.g. after the building.

But WinMove resize the window, but also move the positions of the controls.

In few words: how can I Resize the window without effecting the controls? (e.g. control's position must be absolute).

Thanks for any suggestions

Have a look at GUICtrlSetResizing in the Help file and on the forum.

Thanks

Following your suggestion I tried, in the little, this:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

AutoItSetOption("GUIEventOptions", 1) ; suppress windows behavior

$parentWindow = GUICreate("Parent Window", 500, 400, 100, 100)

$btnOK = GUICtrlCreateButton("OK", 100, 150, 80)

$btnResize = GUICtrlCreateButton("Resize", 200, 150, 80)

GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

Do

$msg = GUIGetMsg()

If $msg = $btnResize Then WinMove ( "[ACTIVE]", "", Default, Default,250,200)

Until $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE

but I do not worksas I would

Best regards

There's a problem with that code, you didn't use the suggestion that guiness gave you to prevent the buttons being resized and moved.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Thanks

I was hoping it was poosibile set at window level the non resizable property.

I see that this is possible with GUICtrlSetResizing ($btnResize,$GUI_DOCKALL), this means that should be done on all controls.

rossati,

Look at Opt("GUIResizeMode") - you can set it for all controls with a single line. :)

There's always something new to learn about in the help file. I never knew that option existed. :)
