Hi All,

It's a long time since I got into scripting (my last time was 6502 m/c in the late 1980's) and despite many hours of searching and trying, I can't get together a script that will do this (simple!) function:

  • Go to a directory
  • Choose a folder at random
  • Display that folder on the screen
I'm going to build on this function to write a little program to help me do some testing at work (there are more test script folders than I can ever manage to get through) so this will add a bit of balance and structure to my current method of looking away from the screen and clicking on something.

If you can help out a newbie :) I'd be very grateful and buy you a virtual or real beer

Cheers,

Joe

The function I would suggest you look at in the help is FileOpenDialog, the example suggests how you should use it. Also whilst you're here have a look at it gives you an idea of just what AutoIt can do.
