water
I'm guessing there is no way to find the location of the source from the exe? No.But you have already posted (parts) of the correct code in post #10. Try to attach this file to eliminate copy&paste problems. BrewManNH
That didnt help. I think you were correct earlier about the source code being somewhere else. I dont think we are looking at the correct source code. The exe that I'm launching is named QAHoldDatabase.exe so there should be a source code named QAHoldDatabase.au3, correct? If so, then thats the file that needs to be updated.Am I thinking about this correctly? No, you're not thinking about this correctly because this line (#AutoIt3Wrapper_outfile=QAHoldDatabase.exe) tells the compiler to create the exe file with the name QAHoldDatabase.exe and not mainnewdatabase.exe. The only reason that the compiled exe and the source file have the same name is because the Outfile directive isn't used unless you want it to be changed when you compile it. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. water
Looks to be some kind of compiled code. Impossible to extract the source from this code. ashah
BrewManNH, I understand now. Since we have that line in the code, it creates the exe with that name. Where does it keep that exe? What location? Because it dosent get created in the same directory as the source file.
BrewManNH
It should be creating it in the script's folder, because there's no path information in the directive. I just compiled the script, and it created the program in the folder where I have the source file. ashah
So should it create the program in the same folder as the source file or it should create it in the script folder?
water
There is no dedicated "script folder". Script folder = folder where the script source is stored. ashah
That is strange then. When I hit F5 from the source file, it dosent create the program. Is it because I get the attaced error?
water
F5 never creates a program (= an exe). It just executes the script. The exe is created using F7 (check the tools tab in SciTE).You get multiple errors:You try to access table "Preferences" but there is no such table in the databaseThe script doesn't handle this kind of errors but tries to process the (non existing) result and hence the script crashedSolution: You need to access a database with the proper content. frp64
Hi, I'm spanish and I speak a little the english language. I think that the trouble is just the file that you have published it is the library au3, it isn't the application, where it's going to import the functions.
