email from Lotus Notes without mail client - **SOLVED**

Recommended Posts

shornw

I have searched the forum (and the internet) for something, anything that might help, but everything I have found so far requires other software

While searching the forum I found which works great from my PC with a client installed but I need to be able to send from an miscrit server which I cannot install any software on.

Does anyone:

a. know if it's possible to send from the command line (like Exchange)

b. have any code that would help

Sorry to sound so lame, but I go on leave on Friday and I need to put something in place that will email in the event of a script failing before I go

Thanks

What have you tried so far?

According to the help file: _INetSmtpMail - Sends an email without using an external email program

Hi Water - quick as ever

After finding the linked code, I kinda got hung up on Notes thinking, whereas I should obviously have thought more AutoIT (time constraint panic lol). I will certainly give _INETSmtpMail some investigation time and let you know how I get on. Thank you

Water - FYI it worked faultlessly once I had tracked down our somewhat obscure settings. Thank you, saved the day....again
