Trying to export all mail in my Outlook Inbox into MSG files. Some work, some dont.

I added _OL_PSTAccess (but I'm not sure that is needed) and replaced the string "Default" with the keyword Default (no quotes).

_OL_PSTAccess returns a single object not an a array like _OL_FolderAccess does.

I will sure to update this thread if i run into any more trouble. I will not say "yeah" until i get the entire script working

So the core functionality works. The rest can only be a bit of cosmetic.

I exported about 5000 mail. And then i got an error message from Outlook saying:

"Det går inte att öppna det anpassade formuläret. Ett Outlook-formulär kommer att användas istället"

In english, its basicly:

"Cant open the custom form, an outlook-form will be used instead".

I get about 5-6 of theese messages in a row, and then the script continues.

The mentioned KB-article is talking about forms. Never seen the message before.

Do you work with forms?

I dont even know what a form in this context is... So i would say, no. I have no idee.

How many mails do you try to copy to the PST?

Do you get any error messages on the SciTE console?

Its still running so i cant check the console just yet.

Ive got this 2 times now, and everytime i get about 5-6 messages (the same message as in the picture) and then the script keeps running. I dont think there are any errors in the console.

When the error happend, i think i saw an email with a diffrent icon, then the others. Might be some kind of sync-log or maintinence messages from the server perhaps.

Got it again now. 8 messages in a row. Nothing in the console.

Is there anyway i can get more info? Some kind of debug or verbose mode in Outlook perhaps?

You were talking about a different icon. Can you post a screenshot of such an icon?

I checked this. And i belive thart it might be "Non Delivery Report" or pehaps "Conflicts folder in Sync Issues" or "Failures folder in Sync Issues".

This message comes up after about 2 or three messages

I thinks an old calader thing.

We changed mailserver about a year ago, and when we did, alot of the calender bookings got errors in them since they where still pointing to old exchange accounts on the old server.

So you are going to sort the inbox by icon and delete all those conflict messages?

I dont think you can sort by icon to be honest.

Im going to try this on the mailbox that its suppose to run on later today and see if i get the same message. Hopefully i will not have this problem, since this mailbox is brand new.

I added column "Symbol" (don't know if it has the same name on an english system) to my view of the Inbox. I click on this column so all icons are grouped together.

Found it. I have now deleted the 4 mail i had, iand it looks like this was the problem. (you just sort by message type)

The problem was this:

On out old mailserver i was invited to several meetings. It had a standting calander appointment on mondays @ 9 AM. When we moved to the new mailserver our email provider did not migrate out accounts, Instead he recreated them on the new server and then moved all the mail, calenders and everything. This meant that all the meetings that we had in out calenders was pointing to exchange accounts that no longer existed, but the email adress exists. Somthing happend there when we tried to delete/move or edit thisse appointments. I think this has to do with that.

I searched the web but couldn't find a way to programmatically delete such messages.
