Pairing a bluetooth device (and some more stuff)

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, girls, and wizards of AutoIt :)

Im in need of automation for my htpc:

I want it to search for and automatically pair with a specific bluetooth device (a Wiimote in this case) using the default Windows bluetooth radio, and then start another program (GlovePie).

With closing the other program, i want the script to remove the paired device and then exit.

Because I never worked with the WinAPI in Autoit, I don't have any clue on how to get this started :-/

I found some threads of MKISH who does a really good job, but honestly I dont understand that much of the code.

As I'm very interested in learning and getting better in AutoIt, I'm not searching for anyone coding this thing for me, I'm searching for the right direction and maybe your help :)

Thanks in advance! :D

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

So you want your pc to pair up with the wiimote and start an application, and if this application closes, unpair.

That it?

If so, start by using some code from the post you pointed out, make your own gui as you'd like

by then, someone with expertise on that area might give some input as to how to make the api calls.

In any case, better come back with some code for people to look at and give some input.

People don't normally create the code for the user from scratch.

Renamer - Rename files and folders, remove portions of text from the filename etc.

GPO Tool - Export/Import Group policy settings.

MirrorDir - Synchronize/Backup/Mirror Folders

BeatsPlayer - Music player.

String Trigger - Triggers pasting text or applications or internet links on specific strings.

Inconspicuous - Hide files in plain sight, not fully encrypted.

Regedit Control - Registry browsing history, quickly jump into any saved key.

Time4Shutdown - Write the time for shutdown in minutes.

Power Profiles Tool - Set a profile as active, delete, duplicate, export and import.

Finished Task Shutdown - Shuts down pc when specified window/Wndl/process closes.

NetworkSpeedShutdown - Shuts down pc if download speed goes under "X" Kb/s.

IUIAutomation - Topic with framework and examples

Thanks for the appreciation.

Perhaps: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa362927(v=vs.85).aspx.

Maybe I could work on this sometime later... :bye:. Meanwhile have fun with DllCall() and other AU3 stuff...
