kb43 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I'm trying to set up drive mapping using the function DriveMapAdd() but it results in failure. The @error code is 1 and @extended is 1231. Does the computer actually need access to the remote drive to allow the setting up of drive mapping? If so then this is the cause of the error. I was hoping I could set drive mapping up WITHOUT having the computer connected to a network.
water Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I'm sure DriveMapAdd needs access to the remote drive. Some information (drive label etc.) needs to be read from the drive.
