I don't think we need to tell you why you're unlikely to get any resolution. I also don't feel like asking obvious questions. Sorry.

The forum doesn't matter - as usual you are providing no useful information. You aren't going to get a response unless you detail exactly what problem you are experiencing.

ok i will move this question to chat forum,,,, i am sorry

Why do that? I can provide an answer but it would be just random nonsense due to lack of code, version of AutoIt, proper description of problem. Is this even an AutoIt issue? Probably not.

Anyway, the issue is with line 568, see how you're using FileOpen but aren't actually closing the handle.

No, I just try to avoid your posts :) In all honesty, I think you're baiting people on purpose - I don't believe anyone can be that thick :)

Did you download the file LockFile.au3 from the thread? Probably not, or you put it somewhere that the script can't find it and you didn't adjust the include statement to tell the script where it is located.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

why you did not do one script with gui that contained 3 button

browse ( location for file)

lock

unlock

Because that's your job as the developer. I provided a UDF with easy to follow examples.

Edit: As BrewManNH said, that is nothing to do with my UDF. You should place the UDF next to your main script or edit the #include location.

You should be able to figure out by now that no one is going to spoon-feed you code.

There is no requirement for anyone here to help you. You have not paid for AutoIt, nor to be a member of this forum, so you have no claim on anyone at all. Those who help here do so voluntarily because they enjoy helping others - the attitude you have displayed in your several threads has led certain of them to decide that they no longer wish to assist you. The fault is entirely yours - as is the possible remedy, which should be obvious. :)

So I do not wish to see any more outbursts such as the one above - I trust I have made myself quite clear. :naughty:
