yDatta Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I am new to AutoIt (just started learning) and as per my understanding we can use AutoIt with some of Automation tools (like Selenium and RFT) for GUI testing. I have some some concerns, please forgive me if I am asking anything bad. I am automating a project (using RFT and Java language) where I need to access MS-Word objects like - Go to particular bookmark on Ms-word and click. - Verify section breaks on MS-Word. - Verify and edit paragraphs on MS-Word. There is no direct support to this using RFT and Java. Somebody suggests me to use AutoIt for working with MS-Word document. - Do anybody have any idea how can we do this using AutiIt and RFT and JAVA? - Any other way to automate MS-Word document. Thanks, Nish
water Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 AutoIt has a builtin Word UDF (User Defined Functions) that allows to work with Word documents. A complete rewrite of the Word UDF is in the making. All methods/properties not covered by the UDF can directly be accessed by AutoIt. water Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 If you don't find what you need in the Word UDF that comes with AutoIt then you might have a look at my of the UDF. hvl Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 That non-standard UDF comes with its own help file in which every function is explained in backlink with bunch of examples included. Check there and see if it would help.
water Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Don't see any UDF on this page. Are you sure the URL is correct/complete?
