i have a block of text where the numbers i need are between <steamid>number</steamid>

is there a quick way to extract these into an array?

Try this:
 

#include <Array.au3> ;Only for debug purpose

$sString = '<steamid>5</steamid><steamid>52</steamid>'

$aRegex = StringRegExp($sString, "<steamid>(\d+)</steamid>", 3)

_ArrayDisplay($aRegex) ;Only for debug purpose

P.S. What's happened to autoit syntax on the forum?

this is all i have -_-

I am sorry, but the examples are pretty close and you could spent some time to play with them. Your posted code is.... how do I say this politely...  pathetic.

Also a quick question, i need to find out how many times a string repeats itself within a string.

What i've done is - I used StringInStr and once an occurrence is found - it is replaced and the process is repeated until nothing is found. However the string is pretty big so it takes a long time. Any shortcuts?

$String = StringReplace($String, "|", "|")
