johndoe123 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Hi Everyone I am new to AutoIt and would like to write a script to open an Excel file, do a bunch of operations on a specific worksheet within it, and then save it. The password protected spreadsheet that I am opening has data links to other spreadsheets and so, when opening it prompts stating that "This workbook contains links to other data sources. Do you want to update? or something similar". Here is what I have to open the file right now: Local $oExcel = _ExcelBookOpen($ScriptLocation & "" & "Some Spreadsheet.xls",True,False,"some password") Dim $title = "Microsoft Excel" Dim $text = "This workbook contains links to" WinWait($windowTitle, $windowText,0) If Not WinActive($title,$text) Then WinActivate($title,$text) WinWaitActive($title,$text,0) Send("{ENTER}") ;send an enter key to choose the default update button ;do something to the spreadsheet and save it ;end of operation The problem is that the WinWait approach does not seem to work here, and does not recognize the . What I am doing wrong? Thanks Sara
