As always there are many ways to skin a cat.

I'm curious which of the solutions is preferred by the OP.

It's an hard fight, maybe StringSplit is the best solution but i don't know what is the faster with a very long string

I always suggest to use code you can easily understand after not having touched your script for a year or more.

In the current case speed is not a problem so I would stick with post >#5 by mrflibblehat.
