Python

3 posts in this topic

This weekend, I want to start learing autoit or autohotkey.

The caveat is that at the end of the month, I want to try my hand with Python.

From what I have been reading autoit would be the better beginning as I have no experiene with programming (well a little basic 30 years ago but I don't count that anymore).

Or other suggestions?

LarryBeattie,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) will help you enormously. You should also look at this excellent tutorial - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page). There are even video tutorials on YouTube if you prefer watching to reading.

I think learning AutoIt in a month is a bit optimistic - but good luck. ;)

Have a look at Rosettacode. You get code to solve a problem in many, many languages. You can get a first impression how "easy" a language is.
