bhargavik Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 hi friends, one help i need to copy the the file from the cd/dvd to another folder ... how to do that ? i did in c drive it working .... but same code i write for cd drive its not working . this is my code Local $win = @ScriptDir &"F:Adobesetup.exe" FileCopy($win,"C:copyfolder") what i did mistake ? its not working
Moderators Melba23 Posted July 20, 2013 Moderators Posted July 20, 2013 bhargavik,Why do you have @ScriptDir in there? I suggest you use MsgBox or ConsoleWrite to check what parameters you are actually passing to the FileCopy function - you will quickly understand why it is not working if you do that. bhargavik Posted July 20, 2013 Author Posted July 20, 2013 without using @ScriptDir also i saw ... it not copying --------------- Local $win ="F:Adobesetup.exe" FileCopy($win,"C:copyfolder")
Moderators Melba23 Posted July 20, 2013 Moderators Posted July 20, 2013 bhargavik,Then do some errorchecking. You could start like this: - Use FileExists to make sure that the source file path is correct.- Does the target folder already exist? If not then use the $FC_CREATEPATH flag so AutoIt will create it for you.- Try to copy the file manually to make sure you have write permission for the target folder. This sort of thing should be your immediate response to a problem. water Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Local $win = @ScriptDir &"F:\Adobe\setup.exe" results in "C:tempF:Adobesetup.exe" if your script resides in C:temp. And I'm sure that is wrong.
