Hi Team,

Just wondering where abouts in the help file i would find how to display whats in a cell inside an Autoit Gui..

For example: I have a spreadsheet where the last report ran date is always in the same filed so i want to have my autoit GUI 'linked' to that excel spreadsheet or array to read the cell and display it through text on my GUI.

How do i go about  doing this or what is the right direction i should be heading??

Thanks guys!

To just display a single cell in a GUI I would read the content of the cell and display it in the GUI.

Then check the file date/time in a loop. if it changes read and display the cell again.

To display a whole sheet I would embed Excel in your GUI. Check GUICtrlCreateObj.

Check out the Excel Management UDF (User Defined Functions Reference) in the Help file.

Depending on what you want to use results for, a basic ListView might be enough in your GUI.
