Sending the stored information in a variable to a txt document without FileWrite

As the title say, i have an variable that i want to store inside a txt document without having to open the txt document.

How is this done? Clearly FileWrite will not work since it relies on having to open the txt document.

Then how can games write to files without you see the file flashing before you? like if i change my resolution to 800x600 that information is being written to txt document without me seeing it

What you see flashing is an editor or something similar. FileWrite directly writes the specified data to the file without displaying anything on the screen.

My bad, i was confused by the name of the function FileOpen i thought it would literally open the file and display its content before you. But it seems to be completly running in the background is that true/false?
