Pragma - I'm lost!

Hello

Just updated Autoit to version 3.3.10.3 & now when compiling(Ctrl + F7) there is no default icon or "File version" number for the .exe

How can I set these defaults(i.e to avoid browsing to the icon path or using Pragma directives #pragma compile(Icon, C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Icons\au3.ico in au3 script)

&

where can I find more info on Pragma & how it fits together with AutoIt3Wrapper (A Dummies version)

Some forum searching gave this thread anything else:

'?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

chrisT,

Simply add the relevant #pragma directives to the top of your script:

#pragma compile(Icon, C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Icons\au3.ico)
#pragma compile(FileVersion, 3.7.0.0, 3.7.100.201)
and you will get an icon and the FileVersion property when compiling.

As to using #pragma with Autoit3Wrapper, the latter should ignore any of its directives that would conflict with existing #pragma directives, but to be on the safe side I suggest using just the #pragma ones. The only exception I know of is if you use #pragma to run upx and ask AutoIt3Wrapper to add resources. In this case the #pragma directive is disabled because upx must run after the resource additions and so it is run by AutoIt3Wrapper after it has finished adding them.

Clear enough? :)

That's an app which you simple select your script and it converts #AutoItWrapper directives into valid #pragma, well the ones which are available anyway.

Thanks, clear enough :) , however previous autoit versions when using Ctrl+F7(SciTE) to compile an au3, there was no need to include any directives & compiling would automatically include the relevant info by default so now it has null defaults ie version = 0.0.0.0, icon default to a windows icon..etc. I guess I was wanting to know how to avoid including directives in the au3 script? :wacko:

If you want an icon and the file version property then you now need directives. There was considerable discussion as to exactly what should be the default settings - the easiest thing became to leave them blank and let everyone choose their own. ;)
