Guest nap
i want to set about:blank as my start page with a smal script. i've found a key under HKEY_USERS\S-X-X-XX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXX\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main. i want to run this script on different machines so the part with S-X-X-XX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXXXX-XXXX doesn't help me very much. is there any variable which i can set instead of this long part? or is there any other way to set the start page? Helge
Search the registry for that part, and you will most likely find it in better named key somewhere.. You can then make your script read that key, and then fill that information into the RegWrite. That's easy, mkay ?

GaryFrost
Might want to look at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Start Page SciTE for AutoItDirections for Submitting Standard UDFs Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference. water
this directory doesn't exsist in my registry. i searched through the registry for start page but didn't find anything.HKEY_CURRENT_USER is simply an alias to the subtree in HKEY_USERS that corresponds to the currently logged on user. But I think the name of the key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Start Page.
