Get auto it to wait for an event?

Hi,

i'm trying to get autoit to look for an event and only do something if it's true and if not the wait 5 sec. and look agian.

sorry if this is a stupid question, i'm new to autoit.

Sound feasible, but you'll need to post some code so that we can see what you are trying to do or at least provide a more detailed description (ie: what is the specific event you need to monitor).

Which "events" are you talking about? An event in a GUI? An event in Excel, Word, Outlook ...? Xmas?
