akshaypi22
When we first open excel sheet, it contains some data. But with time, user starts editing it (without saving it). Can't be dependent on user to save to worksheet everytime he/she updates a cell. I need to read it. Checking will be frequent, so loading it every-time may be time consuming. Currently I am using below code, It does gives result for the first time, but when cell is edited, it gives 0 as output. #Include <C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\Include\Excel.au3> $oExcel = _Excel_BookAttach("C:\path-to-excel.xls") $sResult = _Excel_RangeRead($oExcel, Default, "L8") MsgBox(0, "", "Variable $sResult contains " & $sResult)

water
Then please have a look at my Excel Example Scripts. Excel Events trigger a function in an AutoIt script. Worksheet Change Event This example handles the Excel Worksheet change event when a cell has been changed and sets the color of the cell to red.
