wisem2540 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I am developing a front-end application to look up some data. The Data remains pretty static and only updates like twice a year. How would you store this? Currently, its in Excel, but I would like something a little more transparent, like a MySQL DB. I welcome any suggestions.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted November 18, 2015 Moderators Posted November 18, 2015 It depends, you need to define "some data":Is it one line? Save it in an INIIs it 100 rows? Save it in ExcelIs it 50000 rows with 10 columns each? Then maybe SQLite is the way to go.You need to give us better information in order to help you "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind. wisem2540 Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 Sorry about that. Its probably 5,000 lines. The performance using excel is fine. I just didnt know if there would be a more "Professional" way to do it.
water Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 If Excel fits your needs (fast enough, you know how to read/write data etc.) then I would stick with it.
