what to do an IF FUNCTION like this

(if field clicked already exists then continue script else if not exists click field)

@Nick-DnewbiecodeR Welcome to the forum. You really need to give more information. What kind of field is it (desktop app, java app, web site, etc. etc.). A screenshot of what it looks like would be immensely helpful as we try to assist.

@water yes that is my "cookie cutter" request for more info. Even in Excel, the field in question could be a cell, the formula bar, etc. Just trying to get the OP to give us more :)
