auto it excel help

i want am trying to select a nimber to run a program and then select where to save the excel result at before hand

the problem is that it does not save in the folder i want but the folder before any solutions

i only want to save it as ddmmyy order inside documents but it saves in libraries as documents ddmmyy order.

You are using the parameters for SaveAs the wrong way: https://docs.microsoft.com/de-de/office/vba/api/excel.workbook.saveas

Or use the Excel UDF that comes with AutoIt (suggested method as it comes with error handling etc.)

another question how do i convert xls to xlsx from auto it i dont want to use macro. 

i keep getting an error when i try to open the converted file

Use _Excel_BookSaveAs. Make sure to read the remarks in the help file (extension xlsx has to match with parameter $iFormat)

The help file offers an example. Replace HTML with XLSX and set $iFormat as described to $xlWorkbookDefault when running Excel 2007 or later.
