I simplified the code to send($x)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

;only get one char on Send

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode",2)

Global $x
$x = "abcdefg"

MsgBox(0, " ", $x) ;get all chars - abdcefg

sleep (1000)
Run ("cmd")
sleep (1000)

Send ("{" & $x & "}") ;only get the first char - a
sleep (1000)
Send ("{Enter}")
sleep (1000)

WinClose ("C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32")

  • Solution

Try this:

Opt("WinTitleMatchMode",2)

Global $x
$x = "abcdefg"

MsgBox(0, " ", $x) ;get all chars - abdcefg

Sleep(1000)
Run("cmd")
Sleep(1000)

Send(StringLeft($x, 1)) ;only get the first char - a
Sleep(1000)
Send("{Enter}")
Sleep(1000)

WinClose ("C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32")
