I am probably being really dumb and missing something really obvious here but for some reason the FileRead isn't populating from the filename. The filename is working OK and the filenames appear in the MsgBox. I've spent so long looking I'm not seeing anything now!!

Any help greatly appreciated

$search = FileFindFirstFile("C:\test\Servers\*.*")

If $search = -1 Then
MsgBox(0, "Error", "No files/directories matched the search pattern")
    Exit
EndIf

While 1
    $file = FileFindNextFile($search)
    If @error Then ExitLoop
    $open = FileOpen($file, 0)
    $read = FileRead($open)
    MsgBox(4096, "File:", $file)
    MsgBox(0, "", $read)
WEnd

FileClose($search)

FileFindNextFile only returns the filename. This should work

$path = "C:\test\Servers\"
$search = FileFindFirstFile($path & "*.*")

If $search = -1 Then
MsgBox(0, "Error", "No files/directories matched the search pattern")
    Exit
EndIf

While 1
    $file = FileFindNextFile($search)
    If @error Then ExitLoop
    $open = FileOpen($path & $file, 0)
    $read = FileRead($open)
    MsgBox(4096, "File:", $file)
    MsgBox(0, "", $read)
WEnd

FileClose($search)
