Donovan6 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Hi Folks, Need some help here with something. I need to be able to go through the index of an array and have it return the value at that index to me. Not search for a value and then have it return the index as i don't know what the value WILL BE in a special condition in my program too complex to describe simply. Is it possible and how? Example, i have an Array with 50 recorded values matched to an index, but i want to see what is at INDEX 17, how do i do this?
AdmiralAlkex Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Are you serious? It would be $SomeArray[16] or $SomeArray[17] depending how you count (remember arrays start at ZERO) .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
water Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 What do you mean by INDEX? Do you have an array with 1) only one column per row or 2) an array with an index column and a "value" column? Case 1) #include <array.au3> Global $array[4] = [1,2,3,4] _ArrayDisplay($array) Case 2) #include <array.au3> Global $array[4][2] = [[1,"A"],[2,"B"],[3,"C"],[4,"D"]] _ArrayDisplay($array) My UDFs and Tutorials: Spoiler UDFs: Active Directory (NEW 2024-07-28 - Version 1.6.3.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki ExcelChart (2017-07-21 - Version 0.4.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts OutlookEX (2021-11-16 - Version 1.7.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki OutlookEX_GUI (2021-04-13 - Version 1.4.0.0) - Download Outlook Tools (2019-07-22 - Version 0.6.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki PowerPoint (2021-08-31 - Version 1.5.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki Task Scheduler (2022-07-28 - Version 1.6.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki Standard UDFs: Excel - Example Scripts - Wiki Word - Wiki Tutorials: ADO - Wiki WebDriver - Wiki
AdmiralAlkex Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Whatever you meant, maybe you should take a look at the Array tutorial in the wiki. It's quite thorough. .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
