Donovan6
Hi Folks, Need some help here with something. I need to be able to go through the index of an array and have it return the value at that index to me. Not search for a value and then have it return the index as i don't know what the value WILL BE in a special condition in my program too complex to describe simply. Is it possible and how? Example, i have an Array with 50 recorded values matched to an index, but i want to see what is at INDEX 17, how do i do this?
AdmiralAlkex
Are you serious? It would be $SomeArray[16] or $SomeArray[17] depending how you count (remember arrays start at ZERO) .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
water
What do you mean by INDEX? Do you have an array with 1) only one column per row or 2) an array with an index column and a "value" column? Case 1) #include <array.au3> Global $array[4] = [1,2,3,4] _ArrayDisplay($array) Case 2) #include <array.au3> Global $array[4][2] = [[1,"A"],[2,"B"],[3,"C"],[4,"D"]] _ArrayDisplay($array) My UDFs and Tutorials: Spoiler UDFs:Active Directory (NEW 2022-02-19 - Version 1.6.1.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - WikiExcelChart (2017-07-21 - Version 0.4.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Example ScriptsOutlookEX (2021-11-16 - Version 1.7.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - WikiOutlookEX_GUI (2021-04-13 - Version 1.4.0.0) - DownloadOutlook Tools (2019-07-22 - Version 0.6.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - WikiPowerPoint (2021-08-31 - Version 1.5.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - WikiTask Scheduler (NEW 2022-07-28 - Version 1.6.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki Standard UDFs:Excel - Example Scripts - WikiWord - Wiki Tutorials:ADO - WikiWebDriver - Wiki
AdmiralAlkex
Whatever you meant, maybe you should take a look at the Array tutorial in the wiki. It's quite thorough. .Some of my scripts: ShiftER, Codec-Control, Resolution switcher for HTC ShiftSome of my UDFs: SDL UDF, SetDefaultDllDirectories, Converting GDI+ Bitmap/Image to SDL Surface
