I need help with an array

2 posts in this topic

This function is supposed to find the svchost.exe child process of audiodg.exe, and boost it's priority to whatever is passed to the function, for some reason it's not working, anyone know why?

#include <WinAPIEx.au3>
#include <Process.au3>

Func _AudioServicePriority($Priority = 2)

    $ServiceHostPID = ProcessList("svchost.exe")
    For $n = 1 To $ServiceHostPID[0][0]
        $ServiceParentPID = _WinAPI_GetParentProcess($ServiceHostPID[$n][1])
        If _ProcessGetName($ServiceParentPID) = "audiodg.exe" Then
            ProcessSetPriority($ServiceHostPID[$n][1], $Priority)
            ExitLoop
        EndIf
    Next
EndFunc   ;==>_AudioServicePriority

I would do some error checking in your script. Now the script writes the list of process names to the console. So you can check if there is andy audiodg.exe

#include <WinAPIEx.au3>
#include <Process.au3>
#include <Array.au3>
$R = _AudioServicePriority()

Func _AudioServicePriority($Priority = 2)

    $ServiceHostPID = ProcessList("svchost.exe")
    If @error <> 0 Then
        MsgBox(0, "ProcessList", "Error " & @error & " has occurred")
        Return
    EndIf
    For $n = 1 To $ServiceHostPID[0][0]
        $ServiceParentPID = _WinAPI_GetParentProcess($ServiceHostPID[$n][1])
        $PN = _ProcessGetName($ServiceParentPID)
        ConsoleWrite($PN & @CRLF)
        If $PN = "audiodg.exe" Then
            ProcessSetPriority($ServiceHostPID[$n][1], $Priority)
            If @error <> 0 Then
                MsgBox(0, "ProcessSetPriority", "Error " & @error & " has occurred")
                Return
            EndIf
            ExitLoop
        EndIf
    Next
EndFunc ;==>_AudioServicePriority
